Motion Design
Motion design is a large part of the curriculum within the Graphic Communications program at DAAP. Emphasis on the importance of proficiency in After Effects and alternate animation platforms is very relevant in the ability to bring life and new points of interaction to previously static design. The following project is an exercise in translating a traditional event poster design into an animated motion graphic.
OBJECTIVES
Create a motion graphic that is inspired by the concept and intent of an original poster design
Keep decent pacing, as well as smooth transitions to reflect the beats of the internal storyline
Use additional resources, such as sound, to create atmosphere and contrast within the animation
